Rehab Rajab - TESOL Arabia Immediate Past President
Rehab Rajab has been involved in professional development activities for teachers in the UAE through her work with TESOL Arabia since 2007. She worked as an ESL teacher for 12 years in Egypt and the UAE before becoming Instructional Technology Supervisor and Teacher Trainer at The Institute of Applied Technology in 2012 where she designs Educational Technology professional development courses for 600 teachers. Rehab is passionate about sharing innovative teaching ideas and developing online learning communities. Tamas Lorincz -TESOL Arabia Dubai Chapter RepresentativeTamas is a teacher and teacher trainer, based in Dubai. He is currently woerking as part-time faculty at the Canadian Unversity in Dubai. He is also actively involved in curriculum development and materials development. Tamas has a keen interest in using mobile technologies in teaching and professional development for teachers. James Buckingham - TESOL Arabia EdTech SIG Chair
Jim Buckingham is an education technologist / instructor in Zayed University’s University College program (Abu Dhabi, UAE) and a past EFL instructor / IT Integration Specialist in ZU’s ABP program. He has been actively engaged in all facets of education technology in the region for sometime. Such efforts have been informed by an MA in Online and Distance Education (Open U, UK), an MA in Adult Education (Central Michigan, USA) and past work in alternative education. He is currently spearheading efforts to realize an Open Badges ecosystem for TESOL Arabia that will promote and recognize self directed professional development efforts by EFL instructors working in the Gulf region. Mick King - TESOL Arabia TTD SIG Co-ChairSince 2009 Mick King has fulfilled various roles in TESOL Arabia including organizing special sessions and events, publishing in various TESOL Arabia publications and presenting regularly at TESOL Arabia events. Mick has been involved in TESOL for 24 years in the UK, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Qatar and the UAE. In that time he has held both academic and administrative roles. He currently lectures on the MA Education and PG Cert in Higher Education programmes at Middlesex University Dubai. Mick holds a PG Cert in Higher Education from Middlesex University, UK, an M.Sc. in Educational Management from Aston University, UK and is a final year EdD student with Exeter University, UK.
